Men’s Health Week
June 14 - 20, 2010
Congratulations to Victoria Institute of Clinical Research & Evaluation (VIC R&E) staff in collaboration with the Mental Health unit for representing the hospital and our work on metabolic syndrome at the collaborative mental health conference on May 13, 14, and 15. Our feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.
Men’s Health Week is an international event celebrated annually. It takes place during the week preceding and including Father’s Day. This year’s Men’s Health Week will take place from June 14 - 20.
In celebration of men’s health:
VIC R&E will have an information booth on men’s health issues from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. on June 7 at Red River College’s Notre Dame campus as part of the “College Week Walk A Thon”.
Research Associate Wellam Yuko will be representing VIC R&E and presenting a booth information session during Men’s Health Week at the University of Manitoba’s University Centre, located next to the book store. The exact date and time are still to be determined.
VIC R&E will also have an information booth on men’s health issues here at the Vic from June 14 – 20 at the main entrance of the hospital.
