Victoria General Hospital. Small Hospital. Big Heart. Clear Vision.

Conducting Research at the Vic

Vic R&E is the link that bridges policy, education and service delivery for the best possible clinical practice.

Vic R&E specializes in all three areas of research:

- Industry-sponsored research

- Academic research

- Quality improvement research

Vic R&E conducts research as an individual research unit, in collaborative partnership, as well as assisting internal and external investigators and sponsors by providing various services, such as:

  •          Assistance with grant and funding applications
  •          Consultation for protocol and proposal writing
  •          Clinical trials coordination
  •          Research budget development and financial tracking
  •          Assistance with REB submissions
  •          AE/SAE reporting and data resolution
  •          Contracting research nurses and research assistants

Vic R&E is always open to new innovative ideas and opportunities. If you are interested in conducting research at Victoria General Hospital or looking for a potential collaboration, please contact Susy Santos, Director of Vic R&E, at ssantos3@vgh.mb.ca for more information.
