| The Mature Women’s Centre (MWC) was established at Health Sciences Centre in 1994. Its aim has always been to meet the health needs of women as they move through the menopause transition. In December 2006, the Mature Women’s Centre was relocated to the Victoria General Hospital. The Centre provides a range of services utilizing a nurse-managed, interdisciplinary team approach with an emphasis on health promotion and disease prevention. Services include management of menopause, osteoporosis, hysterectomy alternatives, sexual medicine and urogenital health. |
