Menopause Clinic

The primary focus within the Menopause Clinic is on the patient and her individualized needs. The nurse reviews a detailed medical and personal history and completes an individualized risk assessment on each patient. Along with the patient, the nurse will priorize issues and concerns and complete a care plan with the patient. Other team members may be involved in the patient care.

Several physicians are available within the Menopause Clinic setting. The physician will focus on medical education regarding new and existing medications. Each patient has an opportunity to meet with the clinical dietitian, to discuss dietary interventions, complementary therapies, and personal objectives. An exercise therapist is also available to assist in the management of lifestyle issues.
