Our Oncology Clinic has been relocated from a 2,400 square-foot facility in the Vic's basement to the Buhler Cancer Centre, a bright new 13,000 square foot addition at the front of the Hospital.
The new Buhler Cancer Centre offers patients a soothing environment that promotes healing and strength. It features a quiet room for reflection and an expanded resource centre to provide patients with answers and options. The Centre accommodates three full-time oncologists and has dedicated space for pharmacy, social services, and nutritional services.
Patients and staff now experience improved flow, more privacy, and less
congestion and noise. Chemotherapy treatment spaces will offer views of a new healing garden through windows that wrap around the unit, flooding the interior with natural light.

With its increased treatment capacity, the Centre will help to relieve mounting pressure at CancerCare Manitoba sites and play a critical role in strengthening the cancer care network.
Construction began in June 2007 and the Centre officially opened in November 2008.
