Construction

The Vic’s redevelopment project got underway in June of 2007 with the start of construction on the new Cancer Centre and the Hospital’s main entrance, which includes a new gift shop and offices for the VGH Foundation. Construction on the Vic's new Emergency Centre is now underway, and plans for two new minimally invasive operating suites are beginning to take shape.

Buhler Cancer Centre

The Vic's new Buhler Cancer Centre opened in November 2008. Built for the future, the Buhler Cancer Centre features more chemotherapy treatment spaces and exam rooms, two isolation rooms, space for three full-time oncologists, and a specialized procedure room.

Emergency Centre

Construction on the Vic's new state-of-the-art Emergency Centre is now underway. The new Centre will more than double in size and will be strategically designed to provide care for patients in a comfortable and secure environment.
