Falls Prevention Week

November 5, 2012

November 5-11 has been proclaimed Falls Prevention Week for Older Adults in Manitoba by the Government of Manitoba. Falls are a leading cause of serious injury among older adults.

Lifeline with AutoAlert wins award

June 30 , 2011

Lifeline with AutoAlert has been selected as a winner in the 2011 Medical Design Excellence Awards, the premier awards competition for the medical technology community. The awards ceremony took place on June 8 in New York City.


Victoria Lifeline presented with community award

April 11, 2011

Victoria Lifeline has been presented with the inaugural Age & Opportunity Older Victim Services Community Partnership Award. This award was given in recognition of Victoria Lifeline's donation of Lifeline service to the three Safe Suites operated by A&O for older adults experiencing abuse. Since 2006, 42 people have benefited from the security and peace of mind of Victoria Lifeline while havnig a safe place to stay when deterimining the next steps toward leaving an abusive relationship. Susan Gordon, Community Education and Marketing Representative for Victoria Lifeline accepted the award from Michelle Ranville, Manager of Client Services, at a ceremony held at RCMP Manitoba headquarters.
