How Does Lifeline Work?
Reminder Service
This special telephone enhances the everyday quality of life and support while providing access to the Lifeline Personal Response Service. Up to six daily, weekly or one-time messages can be recorded and programmed as reminders on taking medication, keeping appointments, eating well, exercising... or simply expressing your love and support!  Additional features make this phone particularly easy to use. The CarePartner Telephone works with either Lifeline's Slimline or Classic Pendant Personal Help Button.

Lifeline Access
Lifeline Access products and services are specially designed to assist individuals with limited mobility or physical challenges. We offer a variety of electronic switches designed to react to minute movements. A complete system includes a transmitter, an appropriate switch, cable, mounting hardware, and a replaceable alkaline battery. Victoria Lifeline suggests that a healthcare professional who is familiar with the subscriber choose the switch:

Pillow Switch
A round switch that may be pinned to the pillow and activated by control head movement.

Sip or Puff Switch
A switch activated by a slight sip or puff from the mouth. Activation only requires a tiny pressure change so the user does need great respiratory strength.

Wobble Switch
Gross head or body movement regardless of incoming direction activates this switch.

Rocking Lever Switch
Either gross movements of the head, arms, legs, mouth stick or wobble can activate this switch.

P-Switch
This sensor may be placed on any part of the body capable of minimal motion such as the eyebrow.

Smoke Detector
This specially adapted battery operated smoke detector not only detects smoke but calls the Lifeline Response Centre who can then send someone to the home, including the fire department.
