David Bridges Memorial Golf Tournament

On August 17, the fifth annual David Bridhes Memorial Golf Tournament was held at St. Boniface Golf Club and raised $13,000 for the Vic.

The tournament honours the memory of David Bridges, who passed away from canver in 2007. His wife Claudia worked at the Vic for over 20 years and has organized the event with her family to celebrate his life. Claudia personally matched every dollar raised at the tournament.

Run at the Ridge

On Saturday, May 1, almost 1,300 walkers and runners laced up for the seventh annual Run at the Ridge fundraising event, hosted by Whyte Ridge Elementary School. An event that begain with just 400 participants has grown significantly, with more than three quarters of Whyte Ridge Elementary students and their families participating this year.

For the past four years, a portion of the proceeds has been donated to the Vic to support the creation of the Darlene Williams Comfort Room, a room inspired by a Whyte Ridge resident who lost her battle with cancer in 2006. This year over $6,000 was raised, bringing their overall total $20,000.

On August 18, the fourth annual David Bridges Memorial Golf Tournament was held at St. Boniface Golf Club and helped raise $12,000 for the Buhler Cancer Centre at the Vic.

The tournament honours the memory of David Bridges, who passed away from cancer in 2007. His wife Claudia worked at the Vic for over 20 years and has organized the event with her family to celebrate his life. Claudia personally matched every dollar raised at the tournament.
