The Foundation was formed in 1971 when the Victoria General Hospital moved from its downtown location to South Pembina Highway. In 1992, it transformed from a modest research and development program into a vibrant, modern, not-for-profit organization and over the past two decades, millions of dollars have been invested in the hospital and the surrounding community. In 2011, the Foundation will be celebrating 40 years of enhancing patient care at the Victoria General Hospital.
