Victoria General Hospital. Small Hospital. Big Heart. Clear Vision.

Doing Research at the Vic

CIARE is the research link that bridges policy, education and service delivery for the best possible clinical practice.

CIARE specializes in all three areas of research:

- Industry-sponsored research

- Academic research

- Quality improvement research

CIARE conducts research as an individual research unit, in collaborative partnership, as well as assisting internal and external investigators and sponsors by providing various services, such as:

  •          Assistance with grant and funding applications
  •          Consultation for protocol and proposal writing
  •          Clinical trials coordination
  •          Research budget development and financial tracking
  •          Assistance with REB submissions
  •          AE/SAE reporting and data resolution
  •          Contracting research nurses and research assistants

CIARE is always open to new innovative ideas and opportunities. If you are interested in conducting research at Victoria General Hospital or looking for a potential collaboration, please contact Susy Santos, Director of CIARE, at ssantos3@vgh.mb.ca for more information.
